The focus of the Graduate Research Symposium is on the individual student and his or her research, though graduate students take the opportunity to discuss ongoing research in their fields.

The GRS is the only broadly themed, graduate student focused conference designed to bring together graduate students from differing areas of study and from all stages of the degree process. It is an exciting opportunity to share experiences common to students in all graduate school communities. There are more than 150 oral presentations and 20 posters by graduate students from all 11 W&M Graduate Arts & Sciences Programs and 20 regional institutions including Boston University, Clemson University, College of Charleston, Drexel University, George Mason University, Georgia State University, James Madison University, University of North Carolina, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Tech.

Sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies and Research, Office of the Provost and the A&S Graduate Student Association.
