Guest Lecturer will be Elizabeth Meyer, T. Cary Johnson, Jr. Professor of History at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA.  She is an expert on Greek and Roman political and social history, especially as they intersect with law.  Her research interests include the growth of documentary practice in Roman law and its relationship to literacy; ancient manumission; and epigraphic and archival practice.  All are welcome to attend.  W&M requires masks at all indoor events.
