Submit original artwork that celebrates William & Mary women for the chance to be featured during Women’s Weekend, Sept. 12-14, 2025.

  • Competition is open to all students and recent graduates of the class of 2025.
  • Top three entries win cash prizes:
    • First place = $300
    • Second place = $200
    • Third place = $100
  • All finalists will have their work displayed during Women’s Weekend.
  • Winners and finalists will be invited to the keynote speech on Sept. 12 and strolling supper.
  • The winning piece will be professionally reproduced and given as a commemorative take-home gift.

Examples of accepted media: Photography, sketches, watercolors — including photos of sculpture or other visual art.

The submission deadline is July 25 at midnight.

Art Submission Guidelines
Theme

  • All artwork must reflect the theme: Celebrating William & Mary Women.
  • All submissions must include a short description of how the artwork celebrates William & Mary women.

Submission Format

  • A high-quality digital image of the artwork must be submitted in one of the following file formats: JPEG, PNG, or PDF.
  • Image dimensions: 3300 x 4200 pixels (11” x 14”) at 300 DPI. The image can be vertical or horizontal.
  • Original work can be any size, but must be submitted as a high-resolution image that meets the above specifications.  

Additional Information

  • Artwork must be original and created by a currently enrolled William & Mary student or a graduate in the Class of 2025.
  • All selected artwork must be available for physical display during Women’s Weekend 2025 (September 12-14).
  • The winning submission will be reproduced for distribution during Women’s Weekend 2025; high-quality resolution is essential.
