Freeman Intern Fellow Matt Crittenden interned in the Philippines with ANSA-EAP, an NGO supporting education initiatives and accountability.

Freeman Intern Fellows returning from Hong Kong, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, and South Korea host the community and prospective applicants in an orientation session. The program offers 22 successful applicants funding from $5000.00 for internships in Asia. Students must return in fall 2020 to qualify because Fellows are required to enroll in APIA-AMES 385 as part of the fellowship. This is a program of APIA: Asian & Pacific Islander American Studies and AMES: Asian and Middle Eastern Studies with the Charles Center.
