For seven years Diana and Michael Lorence lived a secret life in an unelectrified, twelve-by-twelve-foot house they built themselves, hidden away in the woods of Northern California, in a world lit only by fire. The Lorences will explore the meaning of architecture, place, and home on Wednesday at 5:00 PM in the Great Hall of the Sir Christopher Wren Building at the College of William & Mary.

Since her first article appeared three years ago, Diana Lorence and Innermost House have been featured in House Beautiful, Fine Homebuilding, Design Anthology, The Oregonian, Mother Earth Living, Green Style, The Examiner, Furniture and Home Fashion, Yahoo and AOL Homepages, Tiny House Blog, Fair Companies, and hundreds of websites, books and newspapers around the world in languages from Turkish, Arabic and Pakistani to Japanese and Chinese.

This event is sponsored by the Department of Art & Art History.
