[PAST EVENT] Ferguson-Blair Publishing Institute Scholarship Application Deadline - Wednesday, 3/12/14
February 3, 2014 - March 12, 2014
To be considered for the Scholarship, the successful applicant must have applied for admission to one or more of the national Summer Publishing Institutes -- NYU, Columbia or Denver.
Seniors of all majors welcome to apply. Apply online in TribeCareers.
Requested Application Materials:
1. Conduct a Job Search in Tribe Careers using the keyword "Ferguson." Submit a Scholarship Application Form. Obtain the application from the home page of our website and and upload it into TribeCareers, along with your resume and coverletter.
2. Unofficial Transcript, which you can obtain from Banner - upload it into TribeCareers.
3. Two recommendations, one of which should be from a Faculty member - Ask the recommender to either email the recommendation letters directly to Julia Brown with "Ferguson Scholarship" and Your Name in the subject line. Or they can send it via campus mail or the US Post, to Julia Brown, Sherman & Gloria H. Cohen Career Center, 180 Stadium Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23187.
Please note that your recommendation must be accompanied by a waiver, which can also be obtained from the home page of our website. Please print it out, sign it, and give it to your letter writer when requesting your letter of recommendation. The letter writer can forward it to Julia Brown when submitting your letter of recommendation. If your letter writer plans to email the letter and doesn't want to scan or upload the waiver to email it, just send it to Julia under separate copy.
You application is not complete until these recommendation letters & waivers are received.
