Hear three short talks from graduate students in Physics and Computer Science at William & Mary to learn more about the research and relationships between science, technology, and nature.

  1. Simulating Nature Through the Fundamental Laws of Physics
    Are we living in a simulation? In this talk, Physics PhD candidate Archana Radhakrishnan, will explain how physicists simulate nature to better understand subatomic particles and highlight the fascinating efforts and resources required to perform such complex simulations.
  2. How Artificial Intelligence can Boost Athletic Performance
    Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the world in many ways. In this presentation, PhD candidate in computer science, Woosub Jung, will explore the use of AI to enhance team performance in athletics through his team’s work with the W&M Women’s Lacrosse team.
  3. The Search for Answers in Nature with Quantum Computing
    Quantum computing and other quantum technologies have the potential to solve a variety of problems in nature. Join Joe Cuozzo, PhD candidate in physics, to hear about his fascinating research on quantum computing and its uses in the real world.
