When humans read a novel, what information do they extract? When the computer reads the novel for us, what does it find? Come, take a seat and join us for an exploration of how computational tools can help, and perhaps hinder, our understanding. We will use Russian author Yevgeny Zamyatin’s seminal dystopian novel “We” to explore these questions. Our discussion will also include a virtual student: our AI, which will write a response to the novel for us!
