On Thursday, October 24th, SEAC's Energy Justice campaign will host an event featuring Eric Blevins, an organizer and activist working in communities affected by mountaintop removal coal mining. Eric is the first in a series of speakers we will welcome to William & Mary to discuss the community impacts of our dependence on fossil fuels, particularly for those living in front-line communities dealing directly with energy extraction and combustion. Eric will discuss energy extraction and production and their impact on communities, as well as grassroots strategies for transitioning past dependence on dirty forms of energy. The event will take place from 7-9 p.m. in Tucker Hall Room 127A.
