Dr. David Gushee

David P. Gushee is a Distinguished University Professor of Christian Ethics and Director of the Center for Theology and Public Life at Mercer University. Dr. Gushee has published 23 books, including, most recently, Moral Leadership for a Divided Age: Fourteen People Who Dared to Change Our World with Colin Holtz in 2018. He has four upcoming books: In the Shadow of a Prophet: The Legacy of Walter Rauschenbush (with William Brackney; Mercer, fall 2019), Justice and the Way of Jesus: Glen Stassen, Incarnational Discipleship, The Contest Over Methodology in Christian Ethics (with Reggie Williams; Orbis 2020), and For the Post-Evangelicals: Where Do We Go From Here? (Westminster John Knox, 2020). Dr. Gushee is also the elected Past-President of both the American Academy of Religion and Society of Christian Ethics.
