[PAST EVENT] CANCELED - Songs of Syria - concert of traditional muwashshat

Johnny Farraj, percussionist, Arab music scholar, and creator of the website maqamworld will join us for our performance which features some of the real gems of the traditional repertoire. A freewill donation will be collected for The White Helmets a volunteer group of trained medical evacuation personnel who operate in the most dangerous areas in Syria. They have saved the lives of over 100,000 people over the last 5 years. Our concert is supported by the James H. Critchfield Endowment for Middle Eastern Studies.
