The Williamsburg Bray School and Its Scholars, 1760-1774
Muscarelle Museum of Art
Maureen Elgersman Lee, director of the Bray School Lab, Office of Strategic Cultural Partnerships, discusses the history of the 18th-century Williamsburg Bray School for Black boys and girls, and the legacies of the 300 to 400 child scholars that it enrolled. This event is open to all. This lecture will be filmed and broadcast by CSPAN. Registration is limited to 150 individuals, so register and reserve your seat immediately!
