[PAST EVENT] Screening of Beneath the Helmet: From High School to the Home Front & Guest Speaker

Join William & Mary's Hillel for Jerusalem U's new film, Beneath the Helmet: From High School to the Home Front.
Could you imagine joining the army right after high school?
Beneath the Helmet is a coming of age story that highlights five young Israeli high school graduates, who are drafted into the army to defend their country. At the age of 18, away from their homes, family, and friends these young individuals undergo a demanding journey, revealing the core of who they are and who they want to be.

Following the documentary, an Israeli soldier featured in the film will be present to share his/her experience with the audience. Join to get an inside view of what life would be like as a youth in Israel and gain perspective on its aspirations and realities.

8:20pm - Q&A and special conversation with commander from the film, light refreshments to follow
