[PAST EVENT] Concurrent Session III ? Cultivating Curiosity and Inquiry in Our Classrooms: A Systems Approach
Nancy Sweat, Executive Director PK-12 Curriculum & Development
Lori Wall, Elementary English Supervisor, Curriculum & Development, Newport News Public Schools (VA)
Impactful critical thinking, creative thinking, and communication all require a well-developed sense of wonder and inquiry. How do we as educators evoke students? curiosity to learn, to think, and to grow? In this session participants will identify structures for developing student-directed inquiry in their classrooms, and they will examine practical ways to use structures for gradually implementing student-driven inquiry at system, school, and classroom levels. Participants will leave the session with concrete tools for immediate no cost implementation.
