Designing, Thinking, Leading: Two Schools’ DEEPdt Experience

Come learn how to use DEEPdt (Discover, Empathize, Experiment, Produce) Design Thinking at the classroom or whole school level. We will share how Baker-Butler Elementary School (Albemarle County, VA) has used DEEPdt over the past five years to innovate andto make significant academic gains while systemically developing students who are flexible and creative problem solvers. We will also cover the upcoming plans to use DEEPdt at Greer Elementary School starting this summer. Learners will take away current examples from one school that is five years into this process and will be able to determine their own entry points for initiating this work in their own context.
