Join us for part 1 of VIMS' Center for Coastal Resources Management Shoreline Management Webinar Series - Tidal Marsh Ecology. In this session, findings from two recent studies of tidal marsh ecology will be presented and implications for living shoreline design and tidal marsh migration will be examined.

Topics to be presented include:

  • Natural Marshes vs. Living Shorelines: Similarities & Differences, Robert Isdell & Amanda Guthrie, VIMS Center for Coastal Resources Management
  • Marsh-Bird Community Changes Over the Past 30 Years, Bryan Watts, W&M Center for Conservation Biology
  • Shoreline Management & Living Shoreline Design Implications, Karen Duhring, VIMS Center for Coastal Resources Management

Participation will require access to Zoom video conferencing software. Registration is required to receive webinar links. You can also register for Part 2 - Integrated Shoreline Management, held on August 25, when you register for Part 1.
