VIMS community discussion on events surrounding police brutality and racism

The Dive-In committee has organized a community discussion to process current events surrounding police brutality and racism. As John Wells stated, this is an opportunity not only to communicate concerns and challenges, but also to offer ideas, answers and actions that can be conveyed widely to our caring community.

When: Friday 6/5/20 at 3pm

Goal: To create a space to process the events, the different reactions experienced, and where students, faculty, and staff can support one another. We will discuss the role of allyship and resources for those in need.

Please feel free to send questions, concerns, ideas, answers or proposed actions to diversity@vims.edu or anonymously (via the link below) in advance of the discussion in order to start the conversation. All questions and comments that are submitted will be addressed anonymously during the discussion.
