Join fellow alumni and friends from the Lower Northern Neck & Botetourt Chapters to celebrate the season at our annual banquet. The buffet dinner will feature chicken breast stuffed with basil, tomatoes and diced focaccia, as well as mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed green beans, a garden salad bar and of course, the Club's famous fried oysters. Not to mention pie and ice cream!

This year, we will enjoy learning more about the teaching and work of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) from our special guest and speaker Carl "Woody" Hobbs III, professor emeritus and author of "The Beach Book: Science of the Shore." Dr. Hobbs' research interests include coastal geology and processes, the geologic history of the Chesapeake Bay and the surrounding region, marine archaeology, and the environmental consequences of marine sand mining and beach nourishment. Additionally, he has investigated physical changes to Jamestown island that have occurred since the beginning of the Holocene, when humans first inhabited the region.

This event costs $38 per person; a cash bar will be available. Please register online by May 11, 2018.
