Virginia Opera's production of Lucia di Lammermoor features clandestine love, murder and madness! The opera has remained a favorite and continues to be one of the most-performed worldwide. The score focuses on the sheer beauty of the human voice. Virginia Opera's production of Lucia di Lammermoor boasts impressive young singers who have already made their mark on the international opera scene.

"...vocalism, drama, tragedy, melody, virtuosity and intense emotion, Lucia has it all." -Maestro Ari Pelto

There will be two hours prior to the opera to mingle in the Donor Lounge and enjoy a free brunch. Senior members of the Virginia Opera staff will explain the history of the opera and discuss the production, and there might even be a surprise appearance by one or more of the performers. Guests will be able to ask questions of the opera's staff and performers in an intimate setting. At 2 p.m., alumni will be asked to find their seats for the show, which begins at 2:30 p.m.

Note: This event registration only includes the free brunch. Tickets to the opera must be purchased separately. Alumni and guests must purchase their own tickets to the opera via the Virginia Opera website.

All alumni will receive a 10% discount on their tickets when they use the code "WMLucia" at checkout.

We do still have space available to attend the brunch. To register for the brunch, please email Justin Ayars '03 at justin.ayars@gmail.com.
