Join The Federalist Society for a conversation on the Current State of Stare Decisis with Jennifer Caughey of Jackson Walker. Zoom link here. Ms. Caughey is a Partner in Jackson Walker's Houston office where she serves as the chair of their appellate section. Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Ms. Caughey served as a Justice on Texas's First Court of Appeals. During her time on the First Court of Appeals, she authored over 125 opinions on a variety of subjects. She brings this unique insight into her discussion of stare decisis. The topic of stare decisis and its role in our judicial system--particularly at the Supreme Court --is being debated around the country. It has reached the Supreme Court as well with different Justices' views on stare decisis being highlighted in important cases each term. We hope you can join us!
