David P. Baugh, a noted criminal defense attorney, will lecture on "Zen and the Constitution: Basic Training for American Citizens" at the Law School in room 124.  Free and all are welcome.


About Mr. Baugh:


David P. Baugh is one of the most respected and experienced criminal trial lawyers in the Commonwealth of Virginia. During his extensive criminal trial career he has appeared on behalf of clients in courtrooms around the nation. He is recognized for his advocacy skills and his vast knowledge of statutory and case law, both in the federal courts and the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Baugh's advocacy has lead to a succession of innovative and intense defense strategies leading to favorable resolutions for his clients.

A graduate of Virginia State University, then Virginia State College, in Petersburg, Virginia in 1971, Mr. Baugh graduated from Texas Southern University School of Law in 1975. After three years with Bennett, Baugh and Bastine, Attorneys, a primarily criminal litigation practice in Houston, Texas, Mr. Baugh went on to be an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas in Beaumont, Texas. In 1981 Mr. Baugh became an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia.  Read more.
