Are you an instructor who is concerned about the impact of high textbook costs on your students? Explore possible alternatives by attending a workshop and discussion on Friday, Nov 16 from 12-1:30 and writing a short review of an open textbook from the Open Textbook Library. Receive a $200 professional development stipend and lunch for your efforts! (Faculty who have already received a stipend for this workshop in the past aren?t eligible for another.)
This workshop will provide background information on Open Education Resources using the Open Textbook Library. Faculty and staff who sign up, attend and submit a review of an OER from the Open Textbook Library will receive a $200 stipend. Instructions for writing the review will be provided at the workshop. Your review will benefit other faculty considering open textbooks as well as students seeking to lighten their debt load. Space is limited.
