Frank Shatz is an international affairs columnist for The Virginia Gazette. During the Second World War, Shatz was forced into a Nazi slave labor camp. He escaped and joined the anti-Nazi underground movement in Hungary. After the war, he became a foreign correspondent based in Prague. Shatz will be speaking about how he survived the Holocaust and how he reshaped his life, including how he was instrumental in creating the Reves Center for International Studies at William & Mary.
