Visit with alumni volunteers transcribing some of the thousands of documents in Swem Library's Special Collections from the period 1861-1865 - all online! This is an opportunity for you to help make historical documents more accessible from the comfort of your own home. The document transcription project is part of Swem Library's From Fights to Rights: The Long Road to a More Perfect Union project that to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War and the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement from 2011-2015.
