Africana Studies is proud to present renowned choreographer Sabrina Madison-Cannon as Visiting Artist during Prof. Leah Glenn's Modern III and IV on Thursday, November 6th. To assist in cultivating interest for Prof. Glenn's new COLL course, in addition to teaching technique classes, Ms. Madison-Cannon will present a lecture demonstration on Wednesday, November 5th on African-American concert dance and its role in communicating social, political and cultural issues as well as her research on the use of motion capture and force plate technology on conducting students from the Instrumental Division of the Music Department at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
