The W&M Public Health Club is hosting an event on **Saturday November 8th @1:00pm in Washington 201** to discuss the mental health climate at the College, including topics such as stigma, risk, wellness promotion, and crisis handling.

Questions will be directed at a panel of speakers including Dean Lesley Henderson (Director of Disability Services), Dean Donna Haygood-Jackson (Senior Assistant Dean of Students & CARE Services Director), Dr. Sarah Bisconer (W&M Professor & Provider at Eastern State Hospital), and a representative from the Student Counseling Center.

We hope to answer such questions as,
"What is the 'MEEP' and how does it work?"
"How do I know if a friend needs help?"
"How do I convince a friend to seek help?"
"How do I help a friend in crisis?"
"What does the Counseling Center do and how does it work?"
"How do students find the time for self-care?"
"What kinds of things contribute to mental health stigma?"
"How can we make this a healthier community?"

This is a free campus-wide event so invite your friends and anyone who is interested in mental health at W&M! Come ready with questions to ask and concerns to raise. And if you want to help in other ways, we will also be accepting donations for the {{http://www.afsp.org/, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)}}- link below for more information!
