[PAST EVENT] Annual Cutler Lecture & Reception

Vicki C. Jackson, Thurgood Marshall Professor of Constitutional Law at Harvard Law School, will deliver this year's Cutler Lecture, entitled "Pro-Constitutional Representation and Constitutional Democracy: Comparing the Role Obligations of Judges and Elected Representatives" on March 23rd at 3:30pm at the Law School in Room 124.
The lecture is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a reception.
Professor Jackson is the author of Constitutional Engagement in a Transnational Era (2010), and coauthor, with Mark Tushnet, of Comparative Constitutional Law (3d ed. 2014), a leading course book in the field. She has written on constitutional aspects of federalism, gender equality, election law, free speech, sovereign immunity, courts and judicial independence, methodological challenges in comparative constitutional law, and other topics.
The Cutler Lecture series was established in 1927 by James Goold Cutler of Rochester, New York, to provide an annual lecture at William & Mary by "an outstanding authority on the Constitution of the United States."
