Mr. Vannier is currently a Communications Officer at the IMF. After completing his BA in History and Italian at Vassar College in 1999, Mr. Vannier began working for the French Prime Minister's Office, and then writing for Business Week for whom he continued to freelance during his graduate studies. After his MA from Johns Hopkins, he wrote for the Financial Times, before working as an economist on Wall Street. Mr. Vannier eventually moved to the World Bank, where he initially worked on Community Driven Development in Africa, and then was sent to Cambodia. Upon leaving the World Bank he taught Political Science, History and Economics in Cambodia, and eventually moved back to Washington, D.C. He has been working at the IMF since 2006, and for the past 7 plus years, has handled the Managing Director's speaking engagements, correspondence, restricted briefings, and has been the Fund point person on scams and protocol.
