Have a great idea? Want to win $250 and get valuable experience that will help prepare you for jobs after graduation?

Pitch your idea in front of a panel of judges with innovation and startup experience, in a "Shark Tank"-style event at the Mason School of Business! The Student Marketing Association and the Design Thinking Club are thrilled to present Tribe Tank, a new fall event open to both undergraduates and graduates interested in entrepreneurship.

Teams can be composed of an individual or multiple people. You don't have to have a great idea just yet-- this is just to let us know you'd like to participate! You do not need to be a business major to compete.

Pitches will be 5-10 minutes, with a Q&A to follow from the judge panel. Your idea could be a product, a service etc.--something for which you believe markets have a need and you can create a viable business model. Visual aids such as PowerPoints are strongly recommended, though a prototype is not needed! Participants will be judged on delivery, market validation, innovation, size of the opportunity, and competitive advantage. Prizes include grant money to create your idea (if you would wish to do so), gift cards, and more. There will be an audience prize as well as judge prizes. Prizes will include money, gift cards, and funds to create your invention if wanted.
