[PAST EVENT] Griffin School Partnerships Information Session
Griffin School Partnerships provides opportunities for W&M students to support local schools, through classroom support, afterschool tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment opportunities. It is built out of the work formerly done by College Partnership for Kids and Project Phoenix over their 20+ year histories. GSP offers opportunities at elementary, middle, and high schools and three different ways to get involved. Classroom assistants lead small groups, provide one-on-one support, or move about the classroom to assist as needed. At Griffin Afterschool, tutors provide afterschool academic support and group activities at Williamsburg-James City County middle schools. They also welcome their students to campus three Saturdays each semester for enrichment programs. Griffin Mentoring is a year-long commitment to supporting the development of individual elementary and middle school students. GSP provides orientation, training, and ongoing support to all participants. Transportation is also provided. Come to the information session to learn more!
