VIMS - Catlett-Burruss Research and Education Lab
Biologists have long collected specimens in order to identify and describe species, while also studying how organisms have changed over time and how they may change in the future. This lab will include specimen collections of all kinds to observe ? from plants to insects, fishes, and mammals! We will also highlight the types of tools and methods that scientists use in collecting specimens. Dr. Eric Hilton, associate professor at VIMS, will join us to explain how scientists all over the world are using specimens borrowed from the VIMS Fish Collection in their studies!
