Join alumni, parents, family and friends in Alexandria to explore the Virginia Institute of Marine Science’s 93-foot research vessel Virginia.

The Virginia is the most modern, capable vessel in its size class in the U.S. and will provide impact studies for sustainable offshore energy development, improve data to sustain healthy fisheries and discover what’s happening on the seafloor.

During the open house, learn about research conducted aboard the vessel and the high-tech equipment and navigational systems.
