The Cohen Career Center is currently hiring a Summer Student Assistant starting at the end of May, as well as 5 other positions mostly starting in the Fall of 2017, which are listed below.

Cohen Career Center Summer Student Assistant, 2017
Our Summer Student Assistant will work 25 hours per week, approximately from the end of exams in May until the beginning of the academic year in August. You will be responsible for assisting with a variety of office activities including employer relations, alumni services, internships/externships, special events, programs and projects. A minimum commitment of 25 hours per week is a must. Preferred Schedule 12-5pm Monday ? Friday.

Reception Desk Assistant
- The Cohen Career Center is looking for a student eligible for Work-Study Employment to assist us at our Reception Desk. The successful applicant must be well organized and good with details. Responsibilities include greeting people, managing phones, calendars and emails. Creativity and experience with newsletters and/or desktop publishing are a plus. We are looking for a student who is available to work hours between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Hours and days of work are negotiable. A minimum commitment of 10 hours per week is a must. Eligibility for Work-Study Employment is a plus.

Cohen Career Center Ambassador, 2017-2018
Cohen Career Center seeks applicants for our Career Ambassadors program. The position entails a combination of peer education and public relations strategies. Ambassadors serve as a ?street team? for the career center, conceptualizing and staffing pop-up events around campus that will build Cohen?s brand and inform students about the resources Cohen offers and why students should utilize Cohen. Ambassadors also spend time educating students (individually and in groups) about general career topics including: resume writing, cover letters, how to search for internships and jobs, and how to use various resources Cohen has such as the TribeCareers database. Extensive training will be provided in April to prepare new hires for the Fall semester.

Cohen Career Center Marketing Student Assistant, 2017/2018
The Marketing Student Assistant team manages the promotion of all Cohen Career Center programs to the student body. The team is expected to collaboratively develop marketing plans to educate the student population regarding upcoming events, as well as effective use of Career Center resources. Students will be required to work a minimum of 10 hours a week, including at least one team meeting. Creativity, ability to work independently on tasks, and effective communication skills (oral and written) are important.

Employer Relations / Events Assistant
- Many employers come to campus to conduct events ranging from Information Sessions, PreNight Receptions, coffee chats, career fairs and tailgates. The event assistant will assist in the execution of logistics for employer events throughout campus, working with employers to ensure a successful event.

Web/Technology Student Assistant - This student will help maintain the Career Center?s web site, making sure all the information is up to date, that the links function, etc. No HTML experience is necessary. The student will go through mandatory Cascade training (W&M?s web management system). Currently the Cohen Career Center is reorganizing some of the website content. The Web student assistant will be expected to utilize Google analytics to find trends in web traffic as well as identify underutilized web pages. Outside of site maintenance there could also be the possibility to work collaboratively with the Marketing student assistants to create web content (videos, tutorials, blogs, etc.)
