[PAST EVENT] Apply for the 2022 Conservation Research Program
The Institute for Integrative Conservation (IIC) is seeking W&M undergraduate students interested in working alongside external conservation partners and faculty mentors to conduct applied research needed to advance real-world conservation outcomes in 2022. As part of the year-long Conservation Research Program, students will complete a research proposal in the spring, will receive a stipend to complete the research full time over the summer, and will finalize research deliverables in the fall of 2022. Through direct mentorship and interaction with conservation partners, students will build and refine their research and professional skills, gain first-hand experience in conservation careers, and work with an interdisciplinary team to directly advance conservation initiatives. We are looking for students with diverse majors, perspectives, skillsets, interests, career trajectories, and lived experiences who are interested in advancing integrative solutions to pressing conservation challenges. Visit the IIC website to learn more about the program, review the 2022 projects, and apply.
