W&M professor and alumnus Peter Atwater '83 will discuss the way humans respond to intense uncertainty: how the sense of vulnerability that it creates affects human interactions and decision-making.

To prepare for this session, we ask you to engage beforehand with The Confidence Map: Charting a Path From Chaos to Clarity by reading the book or watching the YouTube video featuring Prof. Atwater. Swem Library has physical and digital copies of the book. The video is offered in segments of a few minutes each, so you can watch when you please and return later.
