Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement, is one of the most important and solemn holidays in Judaism. It occurs ten days after Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Yom Kippur is a day of fasting, prayer, and repentance, during which Jewish individuals seek forgiveness for their sins and reconcile with God. Yom Kippur emphasizes the themes of atonement, forgiveness, and starting afresh with a clean slate.
