Three notable scholars discuss Europe's constitutional crossroads in a program co-sponsored by the Center for Comparative Legal Studies and Post-Conflict Peacebuilding and the European University Institute. Free admission & everyone is welcome to attend.
Since WWII, the U.S. has relied on training and equipping foreign militaries to stabilize fragile states. Dr. Mara Karlin, a scholar-policymaker, examines when, why, and under what circumstances the United States can be more successful in doing so.
Dr. Johnnetta B. Cole will keynote the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Commemoration Program, lecturing on, "Barriers are Meant to be Broken." This year's remembrance is part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of African Americans in Residence at W&M.
