Philip Roessler, W&M Assistant Professor of Government and the Director of the Center for African Development, will give a talk on two books that he recently published.
Join us for a comedic performance by Jesse Appell, Fulbright Scholar and Intercultural Comedian. This performance will be in English and feature topics of bridging cultural gaps, being a comedian in China, and tips for learning Chinese.
Dr. Shumway will discuss how USAID is using science and technology to transform international development efforts and the fight against global poverty, and explore the gaps and opportunities for transformation of development through science.

The Bosnia Project will screen the documentary Sarajevo Roses, followed by a Q&A with its director, Roger M. Richards. Produced over twenty-four years, Sarajevo Roses is a cinematic essay told by five citizens who survived and now struggle to rebuild.
