The choices we make at William & Mary can define and influence us as individuals, as members in our small groups and teams, and as participants in the greater Tribe community.
This program explores the Plateau Effect, the tendency for people to stay “stuck at good”, and how the college transition can be a critical time for either breaking that pattern or cementing it further.
Each new student must meet with their advisor via Zoom to review and plan a schedule for spring semester. Your meeting time will have been arranged during Saturday’s academic planning session.

All degree-seeking Class of 2025 students will be introduced to two campus resources that support a successful spring semester transition: the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs and the Cohen Career Center.

All meals are provided to new students for the duration of orientation using the wristband issued during the check-in process.
Students who have not yet connected with their Pre-Major Faculty Advisors or have additional questions about their course registration/planning process can use this time to connect with a professional Academic Advisor.

Open to all new F-1 and J-1 international students. Meet staff from International Student, Scholars, and Programs (ISSP) and get important information about immigration and campus resources for your studies in the U.S.
Engage in fun & games and arts & crafts while getting to know other William & Mary students. Use this time to get to know others -- or spend it focusing on your own well-being.
Non-Traditional Aged and Military Veteran new students are highly encouraged to join current students for a frank conversation about overcoming first-semester hurdles and how the student veterans group can support you through your university experience.
All meals are provided to new students for the duration of orientation using the wristband issued during the check-in process.
Students may register for up to 18 credits. Registration Add/Drop continues through Friday, February 4 at 11:59 p.m.
