- Open to the public
- Registration/RSVP
The W&M Democracy Initiative invites you to join us for an interactive evening, open to the entire W&M community.
The event will feature Democracy Initiative Co-Chairs Carrie L. Cooper Ed. D '23, dean of W&M Libraries, and Ginger Ambler '88, Ph.D. '06, vice president for Student Affairs. Panelists and facilitators will include current undergraduate students, sharing their experiences with civil discourse on campus.
Event participants will:
• Hear updates on the Democracy Initiative, one of the university’s Vision 2026 cornerstones.
• Experience first-hand the same curriculum that all W&M students are learning through the Aspen Institute’s Better Arguments Project framework.
• Engage with one another about what it means to have better arguments, with facilitated small group discussions.
