Access & Features
- Open to the public
- Registration/RSVP
- Ticketed event
Does artificial intelligence feel like a magic box that is just completely mysterious? Join us for an educational evening delving into the wonders of AI!
For this Road to Women’s Weekend event, we will hear from Rachel Chung, W&M clinical associate professor of operations and information systems, and several of her students. Together, this team has authored a book, “AI: The Magic Box,” with the goal of explaining this transformational technology to children. During the talk, Professor Chung and her students will dive into their goal for the book and unpack key points about AI relevant for all ages. Recently published, this illustrated book is targeted for 9-15-year-olds to help connect science education with real-world application, explaining how AI works through engaging stories, analogies and hands-on activities.
Don’t miss this chance to learn how W&M women are leading the way in communicating the complexities of novel technologies and data science through storytelling!
Before hearing from Rachel Chung, attendees will enjoy fellowship, hors d’oeuvres and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) at the W&M Washington Center. Tickets cost $15 ($10 for Young Guarde, $5 for current students).
