The Art & Science Exchange hosts Waves of Wonder: A Marine Science & Art Incubator. In the Year of the Environment, Waves of Wonder speaks right to the heart of William & Mary’s commitment to strengthening environmental ecosystems through cross-disciplinary collaborations. Through this hub for rolling interdisciplinary collaboration, education, and public engagement, scientists, artists and innovators from VIMS and A&S at William & Mary demonstrate how scientists and artists effectively communicate across disciplines to develop imaginative and emotionally resonant expressions of scientific concepts. Join us for a vibrant exhibition of performance and visual art inspired by coastal and marine science. Participants will also discuss strategies for establishing a common language, building trust and mutual respect between co-creators, and for encouraging interdisciplinary innovation in addressing environmental challenges.
