In a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world, it's key to know how to thrive. In this William & Mary Webinar, Dorian-Patrizia Baroni '81, introduces us to three interacting 'systems' that we ignore at our own peril: a) our brain?s motivational states, b) the key environmental triggers of stress and c) the power of our own mindsets. In the session, Dorian will also share some immediate, simple practices that you can adopt in your day-to-day work or personal life, as well as a list of reference resources.

Webinar goals:

? Make the information on the Trimotive Brain (Threat Brain, Drive Brain and Safe Brain) understandable and readily available so that we can improve our actions and key decisions.

? Share resources and practices that can help anyone first identify and then quiet their inner critic, therefore lessening the impact of our impostor syndrome on our talents and career progression choices.

? Help each of us recognize the value of reframing fear or worry into a signal of growth, so as to quickly regain our composure, build resilience over time and grow our efficacy in complex situations.
