On behalf of the William & Mary Washington, D.C., Metro Network, it is our distinct pleasure to invite you to this year’s Evening at the Embassy, hosted by the House of Sweden located on the shores of the Potomac River in the heart of Georgetown’s waterfront.
Beneath the embassy’s soaring ceilings, reflecting waterfalls and award-winning Scandinavian architecture, William & Mary alumni, students, parents, family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable community that W&M has formed in our nation’s capital.
We are honored to announce that the evening will feature remarks by Swedish Deputy Chief of Mission Ingrid Ask, as well as an update on William & Mary’s nationally recognized study abroad and international research programs from Teresa Longo, executive director of the W&M Reves Center for International Studies.
We are further delighted that the evening will feature a selection of hors d’oeuvres from celebrated Scandinavian chef Mikko Kosonen. After 15 years as the executive chef for the ambassador of Finland, Kosonen continues to excite the D.C. culinary scene by elegantly combining Nordic ingredients and techniques with traditional and modern influences.
The evening also will include a selection of wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages, and business attire is suggested. Tickets are $35 for Young Guarde alumni (class years 2012-2022) and $45 for all others.
