Join the First-Generation Low-Income Organization and the Latin American Student Union for a Q&A Session with Ambassador Aponte! Mari Carmen Aponte is the former U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador and was the first Puerto Rican woman to hold the position of Ambassador in the United States. Currently a member of the Board of Visitors at William & Mary, she will be sharing her incredible story of how her FGLI and Hispanic identities have impacted her academic and professional careers. Ambassador Aponte will also be speaking on the importance of public service. Free food and drinks will be provided at the event!
