We are thrilled to invite members of the local W&M community to experience the incredible exhibition “Afrofuturism in Costume Design” at Jamestown Settlement! This event is co-sponsored by the Hulon Willis Association, W&M Women and W&M Williamsburg Network.
Join us to explore the stunning work of Academy Award-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter, whose visionary creations have brought to life iconic films like “Black Panther,” “Selma,” “Coming 2 America” and more. This exhibition is a celebration of African culture, history and future possibilities as expressed through costume design. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow alumni, explore rich cultural heritage and draw inspiration from Carter’s artistry.
Please RSVP to confirm your attendance, and feel free to bring your family and friends along!
