Strollin’: A history of Black Greek letter organizations at William & Mary, examines the arrival of African American fraternities and sororities to campus. The exhibit, which opens February 1, 2022 in the Earl Gregg Swem Library, features a mixture of oral histories and artifacts. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. in the Botetourt Gallery and a variety of hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Gregory Parks, a professor of law at Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, North Carolina) will give a discussion on his book, A Pledge with Purpose: Black Sororities and Fraternities and the Fight for Equality, followed by a signing of the publication. The book discussion will begin at 7 p.m. in the Botetourt Theatre. The William & Mary Spirit Shop and Bookstore will be available at the event for attendees to purchase book copies.
