W&M faculty Mike Tierney, Marcus Holmes, and Daniel Maliniak will share examples of groundbreaking research being done with students through the Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations.

Guest Speakers:

Michael Tierney is the George and Mary Hylton Professor of Government and International Relations, teaching courses on international relations, international organization, public policy, and international development. He directs the Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations, and the AidData Center for Development Policy.

Marcus Holmes
is Assistant Professor of Government and co-director of the Social Science Research Methods Center (SSRMC), which houses the Political Psychology and International Relations (PPIR) lab, which he directs. His research and teaching interests are in international security, international relations theory, foreign policy, diplomacy, homeland security affairs, and political psychology.

Daniel Maliniak
is Assistant Professor of Government and Public Policy, teaching courses in international relations with a focus on international political economy and the environment. He is a principal investigator on the Teaching, Research and International Policy (TRIP) program, which focuses on the intersections between the academy, policy, and teaching.
