[PAST EVENT] W&M Charleston Supports Lowcountry Local First

As we enter into the season of giving, W&M Charleston is asking for volunteers to support Lowcountry Local First (LLF) and its holiday campaign urging everyone to buy local.

LLF's director of economic development is our own Steve Fletcher '10. Volunteers will gather at LLF Headquarters (Local Works Coworking Space) from 2-4 p.m. for a brief introduction to the effort, and then select what they would like to do from a variety of support tasks (signing, sealing, stamping, phonebanking, etc.)

When the task is finished (about 4 p.m.), we will move next door to Bevi Bene Brewing Co. to celebrate our volunteers with some local brews and appetizers.

We are limited to 20 volunteers and will keep a small list of backup reserves - so be sure to sign up early and provide accurate phone numbers to reach you if plans change at the last minute.
