In 2018, W&M graduating seniors adopted a new tradition — the Lavender Celebration. This event celebrates the LGBTQ+ identities that make up our vibrant community and the importance of finding solidarity and support to overcome challenges and achieve aspirations.

During Mosaic Weekend, alumni who may not have attended this celebration as students will have the opportunity to participate with their family and friends. After processing onstage, participants will stand as a loved one or university representative places a lavender stole around their shoulders.

After the program, participants are invited to pose for a group photo.

Price: $25. The price covers the cost of your keepsake stole for the program.
